George Hargreaves and the ‘satanic’ Red Dragon

A few days ago, I learned to my utter amazement that George Hargreaves, who believes (among other things) that Y Ddraig Goch or the Welsh Dragon is a sign of Satan, had been selected by UKIP as their official representative for Coventry South in the forthcoming general election.

I had a few thoughts on this matter, so for those of you who might be interested in reading them, those wonderful people at the Daily Wales have been good enough to publish them on their site.

Did the Monster Raving Loony Party reject his candidacy for being too loony?

Despite his supposed credentials as a reverend, leader of God only knows how many Christian movements, etc, “St George” seems to have forgotten that, in the Book of Job at least, His Satanic Majesty is the Lord’s right hand man, while he’s also ignorant of the title Rex Mundi and the implication this has for the many high places in Wales.

I’ve met a good many Pentecostalists in Britain over the years and they easily rank as some of the stupidest and most unpleasant people it’s ever been my misfortune to encounter. Still, every cloud has a silver lining and St George’s deranged views have now led me to your excellent and well-written site 🙂
